Introducing our newest BridgeUP program: "BridgeUP: Musical Theater in the Schools (MTS)"

The mission of BridgeUP: Musical Theater in the Schools is to increase theater access and learning resources for rural, under-served youth throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. MTS will bring artists into the classroom, support curricular needs of under-served schools and introduce students to theater through low-cost access to professional productions. Special focus will be given to rural districts and those with families living below the poverty line. Districts with limited to no funding for arts will be given access to resources that, we hope, will shape how a student engages with learning and their community. Led by Northern Stage, MTS will develop curriculum to implement at participating schools to bring a short musical to life and present it on a professional stage. This program is a tribute to Helen's love for musical theatre and her vision for all youth to be able to pursue their passion, whatever that may be.
