BridgeUP:Environment began through a collaboration with SCA, the Student Conservation Association. Through our partnership with SCA, high-school students are able to work on a variety of conversation projects in their native New York. SCA exists at the intersection of self-discovery and environmental conservation. During their summer projects, BridgeUP scholars get to work, in teams, to preserve or renovate parks, trailways and other public spaces while learning about environmental issues and conservation efforts. Through this partnership, students develop leadership skills, are able to explore their interests or develop new ones, learn about social responsibility and action. BridgeUP students are able to take these skills and apply them to their school and personal lives.
